Ukraine ready to deepen cooperation with EU in all areas – PM Honcharuk

Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk has stated that Ukraine is ready to actively cooperate with the European Union to deepen cooperation in all areas.

Honcharuk said this at a joint press conference with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, following the sixth meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council held in Brussels on Tuesday, January 28, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We reaffirm our readiness to actively cooperate to deepen our cooperation in all areas. We set strategic goals, including integration into the European energy society, integration into the digital market, joint use of the airspace, cooperation in the field of justice and the protection of personal data. All these areas are promising and give us the opportunity to cooperate with the European Union," Honcharuk stressed.

He also thanked the European partners for their stable and systematic support of Ukraine in difficult times.

The prime minister also noted that the European Union is a key strategic partner of Ukraine in all areas. “We highly appreciate and are grateful for the consistent support that we receive from our strategic partner, including in protecting our sovereignty and territorial integrity, in particular, against the aggression of the Russian Federation,” Honcharuk noted.

The head of government also stressed that the establishment of peace is now Ukraine’s priority.
