Zelensky in Davos: Worldwide concern not enough for Ukrainians

Worldwide concern about the problem of the war in Ukraine and Russia's annexation of part of the Ukrainian territory is not enough for Ukrainians.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday, January 22, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The war has been ongoing in my country for the sixth year. Six years ago, Russia annexed part of our territory, despite thousands of pages of international law and hundreds of organizations designed to protect it. This is the new normality that we have. Yes, the world has united around the settlement of these issues, but is worldwide concern enough for Ukrainians - the fallen and those who have lost their homes? That's not enough! And that is true," Zelensky said.

He stressed that this is just one example that shows that the current architecture of the world is vulnerable, while existing institutions do not always work as efficiently as currently required.

The annual meeting of the World Economic Forum is taking place in Davos, Switzerland, on January 21-24.
