Turkey will never recognize annexation of Crimea – Foreign Minister Cavusoglu

Turkey will never recognize the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation and will continue to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said this at the “Geopolitical Outlook: The Middle East and North Africa” panel within the World Economic Forum in Davos, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Whether I agree with Russia on the issues of Crimea, Ukraine or Georgia - no. We will never recognize the illegal occupation and annexation [of Crimea]," he said.

According to Cavusoglu, Ankara will continue to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine and Georgia.

As reported, on January 22-23, Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk will pay a two-day working visit to Davos, Switzerland, on the days of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting.

Today, January 22, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will deliver a special address at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
