Novikov becomes new head of National Agency for Prevention of Corruption

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the appointment of Oleksandr Novikov as head of the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC), according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

When introducing the new NAPC head, Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk assured of government’s readiness to help and facilitate the work of the agency in every possible way.

Ambassador of the EU, Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Matti Maasikas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen, U.S. Charge d'Affaires in Ukraine Kristina Kvien, and UNDP Resident Representative to Ukraine Dafina Gercheva were present at the Cabinet meeting.

As Ukrinform reported, on October 20, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Natalia Novak as acting head  of the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption.

On December 16, a special selection commission announced that Oleksandr Novikov, a prosecutor of the law observance oversight department at the Prosecutor General's Office, won a competition for the post of a new NAPC head.
