Ukrainians to travel to Russia on foreign passports from March 1, 2020

Ukrainian citizens will travel to Russia on foreign passports from March 1, 2020, Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk has reported on his Telegram channel.

"From March 1, 2020, the border with the Russian Federation will be crossed on the basis of a foreign passport, but only for citizens of Ukraine leaving Ukraine for the Russian Federation," Honcharuk wrote, noting that such a decision was made at a government meeting on December 18.

He added that upon entry to Ukraine from Russia, Ukraine's State Border Guard Service will ensure the unhindered passage of Ukrainian citizens on the basis of domestic passports and birth certificates.
