Ukraine's economy minister not planning to resign

Ukraine's Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Tymofiy Mylovanov has said that he is not going to resign.

He posted a respective video on his Facebook page.

"About resignation. They say that I have written a statement of resignation – that's a lie. I like my job. I will continue to carry out reforms," Mylovanov said.

He also said that wages should be high throughout the country.

"And pensions, too. I will do all I can to make that happen. I believe we will be able to do it," the official added.

Earlier, Ukrainian Justice Minister Denys Maliuska and Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Dmytro Dubilet complained that they received low wages.
