U.S. agrees to appoint Volodymyr Yelchenko as new ambassador of Ukraine to USA
The United States of America has agreed to appoint Volodymyr Yelchenko the new ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko has said.
"We have already received an agrement [a specialized term in the field of international affairs that refers to the agreement by a state to receive members of a diplomatic mission from a foreign country]. We decided on a candidacy two months ago. This is our current permanent representative to the United Nations, Volodymyr Yelchenko," Prystaiko said in an interview with UNIAN.
The Ukrainian side has already agreed on a certain number of ambassadors in other countries, the minister added.
“In the near future, we will be able to publish decrees on the appointment of a number of leaders of missions important to us,” Prystaiko promised.
