Zelensky confirms he will meet one-on-one with Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed he will hold a one-on-one meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Paris and stated that all leaders of the Normandy Format countries will have bilateral meetings.

He said this live on the talk show "Freedom of Speech of Savik Shuster" on Friday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Yes. All presidents will have bilateral meetings," Zelensky said when asked if a bilateral meeting with Putin was planned in Paris.

At the same time, he said he was not nervous before his meeting with the Russian president.

"The only thing I can get nervous about is that we just met, saw each other, and said, 'Yes, we are planning.' I really do not like the ineffectiveness of any negotiations," Zelensky said.

He said he had nothing to fear because he is "the president of a free country, a normal, decent person, who does not sell our country to anyone ever for nothing, and the truth is on our side."

The Normandy Format summit is to be held in Paris on December 9.
