OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Lajčák: We cannot forget Crimea

The international community, in particular the OSCE, must not forget about Russia's ongoing occupation of Crimea.

OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák said this in his speech during the opening of the 26th OSCE Ministerial Council in Bratislava on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"People are still suffering; people are still dying. And, given the principles and commitments of this Organization, we cannot forget Crimea," he said.

The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office noted that "the recent positive steps showed that we can see results if we master enough political will."

"If we want to see real, political progress, we need to lend our support. Both, bilaterally – but, crucially, through the OSCE," Lajčák stressed.
