Razumkov expects reconstruction of Dnipro airport to be completed in 2022

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov has said he hopes that the reconstruction of Dnipro International Airport will be completed by the spring of 2022.

Razumkov stated this during his working visit to Dnipro city where he attended a meeting dedicated to the presentation of Dnipro airport reconstruction project, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“I hope that Dnipro will be able to receive modern aircraft by the spring of 2022. This will give an impetus to the economic and tourist growth of the city, because there is definitely something worth seeing here,” Razumkov said.

Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Bondarenko, in turn, stressed that this construction is one of the main priorities for regional authorities. He added he hopes the reconstruction of the airport will begin as early as in 2020.

As Ukrinform reported, the government envisaged UAH 1 billion in the state budget for the reconstruction of the airport in Dnipropetrovsk region.
