Czech Republic considers annexation of Crimea by Russia illegal – PM Babiš

The Czech Republic considers the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation illegal and condemns it.

Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš said this during a joint briefing with Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk in Kyiv on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"The Czech Republic undoubtedly considers the annexation of Crimea illegal and condemns it," Babiš said.

At the same time, he emphasized that the Czech Republic supported “various initiatives” on human rights and civil society in the occupied Crimea and expressed hope for further cooperation in various fields.
