Ukraine, Austria interested in active cooperation in many areas

Ukraine and Austria are interested in further active interaction in the political, economic and investment spheres, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported, following negotiations between Ukrainian and Austrian Foreign Ministers Vadym Prystaiko and Alexander Schallenberg.

"The ministers have stated an interest in further active engagement in the political, economic and investment spheres," the report reads.

According to the press service, Prystaiko drew attention to Austria's considerable experience in the field of forest restoration and expressed Ukraine's interest in borrowing such experience in terms of practical assistance in carrying out reforms.

The parties praised numerous events held as part of the Year of Ukrainian Culture in Austria and the Year of Austrian Culture in Ukraine.

Prystaiko briefed Schallenberg on Ukraine's approaches to the diplomatic settlement of the Donbas conflict caused by Russian aggression.
