Austrian foreign minister meets with OSCE SMM monitors in Kyiv

Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg met with civil society representatives and monitors of the OSCE SMM to Ukraine in Kyiv on Wednesday.

"Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg left today for Ukraine on a two-day visit. He met with the representatives of civil society in Kyiv today to discuss essential reforms in the area of justice and the rule of law," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria posted on Facebook on November 13.

In addition, the Austrian minister and Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group, Ambassador Martin Sajdik visited the OSCE SMM office in Ukraine which had been established in 2014, "to facilitate on-site dialogue between the parties to the conflict."

Alexander Schallenberg, the Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria, makes a working visit to Ukraine on November 13-14. The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Austria will hold talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on November 14. Discussion of urgent issues of a wide range of bilateral relations, as well as the interaction between the two states within the framework of international organizations, is expected.
