EU to keep sanctions on Russia until full implementation of Minsk agreements – Brok

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva held a meeting with Special Advisor to the European Commission President on relations with Ukraine Elmar Brok on Tuesday, the president’s press service has reported.

Zhovkva informed of the priorities of Ukraine in relations with the European Union, outlined progress in the implementation of reforms, in particular in the context of the Association Agreement, and thanked Brok for his continued political support for Ukraine on the path of European integration.

The special advisor to the European Commission president assured that support for reforms in Ukraine and its sovereignty and territorial integrity would remain a priority for the leadership of the European institutions.

He stressed that the European Union would maintain sanctions until the full implementation of the Minsk agreements.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the issue of energy security in Europe. Zhovkva stressed that Ukraine remained a reliable partner in energy transit. He called on all EU member states to preserve unity in the issue of compliance with EU energy legislation.
