Servant of the People to participate in elections to merged territorial communities

The Servant of the People party will participate in elections to merged united territorial communities (MTCs) that will take place on December 22 and 29 this year.

Party delegates made a respective decision at a congress on Sunday, November 10, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"I want to congratulate about 1,700 of our future candidates [for deputies] and about 90 candidates running for heads [of merged territorial communities]. The congress has just decided to formally participate in elections to merged territorial communities on December 22 and 29," the newly elected chairman of the Servant of the People party, Oleksandr Korniyenko, said.

Ukraine's Central Election Commission scheduled the first elections to 86 MTCs for December 22 and the first elections to six MTCs for December 29 and additional elections of deputies of Karpivka Village Council in Shiroke district, Bozhedarivka Village Council in Krynychky district and Sofiyivka Village Council in Sofiyivka district, Dnipropetrovsk region.

In previous years, from October 25, 2015 to June 30, 2019, the Central Election Commission scheduled the first local elections to 896 merged territorial communities.
