Foreign ministers of Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova discuss additional format of cooperation

The foreign ministers of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova have discussed the creation of an additional format of cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership initiative.

This was discussed during a meeting of Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko with Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani and Foreign Minister of Moldova Nicolae Popescu in Stockholm, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reports.

“Vadym Prystaiko presented Ukraine's vision for further development of the Eastern Partnership initiative. The minister stressed that Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia were ready for deeper sectoral integration with the EU in the areas of energy, trade, transport, digital economy, customs and security cooperation. The ministers also discussed the creation of an additional format of cooperation within the EaP with the participation of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova,” the statement reads.

The Foreign Ministry underscores that the application of the differentiation principle within the framework of the EaP will be most relevant amid the current state of affairs with the multi-speed integration of participating countries into the EU and will contribute to its greater effectiveness and success.
