Lithuanian delegation led by Linkevicius meets with Ukrainian military in Mariupol

The delegation of diplomats led by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Linas Linkevicius has held a meeting with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko and representatives of the military command in Mariupol.

The press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters reported this.

"The Ukrainian military informed the guests about the current security situation in Pryazovia region, the shelling of civilian objects along the demarcation line and steps being taken by all security forces to stabilize and improve the humanitarian component in the JFO area," reads the report.

Foreign Minister Vadym Prystayko said that Lithuanian colleagues during their visit were able to see the real situation at along the demarcation line.

Linas Linkevicius, in turn, noted that he had visited Ukraine and the conflict zone many times before, and would again share this information with his colleagues.

“I try to visit not only Kyiv, but come to hot spots too, to see what’s happening there. Believe me, we use the facts during our discussions in various organizations where we are members," said Linkevicius.

Also, the parties discussed the peculiarities of actions of Russian-led troops and their impact on the lives of civilians of Donbas.
