Razumkov meets with speakers of Baltic+ Group parliaments

A working meeting of the Baltic+ Group was held with the participation of Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov within the framework of the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament of CoE Member States.

Latvian Speaker of the Saeima Ināra Mūrniece, Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas Viktoras Pranckietis and President of the Riigikogu (Parliament of Estonia) Henn Põlluaas also took part in the meeting, the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reports.

Razumkov thanked the speakers of parliaments for their consistent and unwavering support for Ukraine’s ​​territorial integrity and for their stance expressed during the conference.

"It is a very important signal for us because it is necessary to understand that the situation in Ukraine is a global problem that will affect security in the world today and in the future. So I hope that we will further see an increasing number of countries with the same unwavering stance," he said.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada also stressed the importance of functioning of the Baltic + Group in a situation where the basic principles, which were laid as the foundation for the creation of a united, democratic Europe, are being violated.

The speakers of parliaments supported the position on the importance of work and expansion of the Baltic + Group.
