Hladkovsky released on UAH 10 mln bail

Former First Deputy Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleh Hladkovsky has been released from a pretrial detention center on bail, his lawyer, Ruslan Volynets, has told Ukrinform.

He added that his client had continued his hunger strike.

On October 17, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) detained Hladkovsky on suspicion of abuse of office (Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

On October 18, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) served Hladkovsky with a notice of suspicion in "abuse of power and office" and "declaring untrue information."

On October 19, the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine ruled to detain Hladkovsky for 60 days until December 15 and determined the amount of bail at UAH 10.623 million.
