Normandy format meeting may take place in November – Prystaiko

Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko has stated that a meeting between the leaders of the Normandy format countries may take place in November 2019.

"President [Volodymyr] Zelensky is trying to do everything possible for the Normandy format meeting can take place. We hope that this meeting will take place next month and we will witness our readiness to move forward in all four directions outlined in Normandy agreements,” Prystaiko said during Government Question Hour meeting held in the Verkhovna Rada, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

The minister assured that Ukraine, together with partners from NATO and EU, is monitoring everything that is taking place near Ukraine’s borders. "I absolutely share concerns with you. We are also watching what is happening, not only we, our partners from NATO and the European Union. The work is held, as well as satellite-tracking and intelligence activities to understand possible threat and the real purpose of these Russian maneuvers," the official said.
