The SBU noted that the bill takes into account the best European experience and international practices in the field of security.

Amending the law “On the Security Service of Ukraine” is an important component of the reform, due to which the SBU should be transformed into a high-tech, mobile and optimal special service capable of effectively countering new challenges and threats to the state security of Ukraine, according to the press service.

It is noted that the new draft law "On the Security Service of Ukraine" was submitted to members of relevant parliamentary committees, ambassadors of the G7 countries, leadership of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, the NATO Representation to Ukraine and the European Union Advisory Mission. “International partners supported the reform of the Service and expressed their readiness to provide assistance in its implementation,” the SBU stated.
