White House officially confirms Trump-Zelensky meeting on Sept. 25

U.S. President Donald Trump will meet for the first time with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as part of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York on September 25.

The exact date was announced by the White House representative on September 20, Radio Liberty reports.

The presidents are expected to discuss the process of resolving the war in Donbas, as well as cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the fields of energy and trade. In addition, the U.S. concern over China’s attempts to “seize the intellectual property of Ukraine” may be the subject of negotiations.

According to the report, Trump “will urge all parties to fulfill their obligations in accordance with the Minsk agreements.”

Earlier, the Office of the President of Ukraine announced a meeting of two presidents on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
