Poland and Slovakia to assist Ukraine in conducting reforms

Warsaw and Bratislava positively assess the new government of Ukraine and intend to support the reforms it implements.

Foreign Minister of Poland Jacek Czaputowicz and Foreign Minister of Slovakia Miroslav Lajčák made a corresponding statement at a joint press conference in Warsaw, an Ukrinform own correspondent reports.

“We share President Zelensky’s positive assessment of the Ukrainian government. We agreed that our countries would support the reforms carried out by the Ukrainian authorities,” Czaputowicz said.

The Polish foreign minister noted that he discussed the situation in Donbas with Slovak minister Lajčák. In his opinion, relations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation are a kind of litmus test for the OSCE.

In turn, Miroslav Lajčák agreed with his Polish counterpart in assessing the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, as well as regarding support for Ukrainian reforms.

As reported, Jacek Czaputowicz said at the opening of the annual OSCE Human Dimension Implementation Meeting in Warsaw on Monday that ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict was crucial for normal functioning of the organization.
