Ukraine continues talks on another prisoner swap with Russia - Denisova

The Ukrainian authorities are continuing talks on another exchange of prisoners with Russia, but it is not necessary to reveal details of the dialogue now, Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Commissioner Liudmyla Denisova has told Hromadske.TV.

"Negotiations are ongoing on the subsequent release of our citizens who stay in the Russian Federation and temporarily occupied Crimea," she said.

Denisova refused to talk about specific surnames of prisoners who could be exchanged.

"If you want to do something, you should keep silent about it," the ombudsman added.

Russia and Ukraine exchanged detainees in the 35-for-35 format on September 7. Those who returned to Ukraine include Oleg Sentsov, Roman Sushchenko, Oleksandr Kolchenko, Pavlo Hryb, Volodymyr Balukh, and others.
