Ruslan Stefanchuk elected as First Vice-Speaker of Verkhovna Rada

Ruslan Stefanchuk, the member of Parliament, the presidential representative in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, has been elected as the First Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.

The decision was supported by 330 lawmakers, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Ruslan Stefanchuk was born on October 29, 1975, in Ternopil. He graduated from the Khmelnytsky Institute of Regional Management and Law and the Podillia Technological University (the Khmelnytsky National University now).

Ruslan Stefanchuk is professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine. He has been engaged in the practice of law.

During the 2019 presidential campaign, Stefanchuk oversaw the work of expert groups. He was appointed as the advisor to the President of Ukraine, the presidential representative in the Verkhovna Rada.
