Bolton: We share common commitment to preserving Ukraine’s sovereignty

Assistant to the U.S. President for National Security Affairs (NSA) John Bolton has stated he is satisfied with recent meetings with Ukrainian colleges in Kyiv.

In a post on Twitter, he wrote: “It was great to meet with my Ukrainian national security and defense colleagues in Kyiv. The discussions clearly show that we share a common commitment to preserving Ukraine’s security and sovereignty, and to ensuring it is not subject to Chinese economic exploitation”.

When commenting on a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky, Bolton called it “outstanding”.

“Outstanding meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Very impressed by his commitment to real reform to benefit the Ukrainian people. A stable, prosperous, and free Ukraine is key to stability in Europe and beyond,” he wrote.

As Ukrinform reported, Bolton arrived in Kyiv on August 27. He had meetings with President Volodymyr Zelensky, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Danyliuk, and acting SBU Head Ivan Bakanov.
