Bolton, Bakanov discuss Ukraine-US cooperation in national security

Assistant to the U.S. President for National Security Affairs (NSA) John Bolton met with Acting Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Bakanov to discuss further bilateral cooperation in the field of national security.

“Great discussion with the Acting Head of The Security Service of Ukraine, Ivan Bakanov. We discussed various ways Ukraine and the US can strengthen collaboration across a wide range of national security activities,” Bolton wrote on Twitter.

As Ukrinform reported, Bolton arrived in Kyiv on August 27. He held a meeting with Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Danylyuk. The parties discussed intensifying relations between Ukraine and the United States in the security sector.
