France, Russia to discuss Minsk agreements implementation in 2+2 format

France and Russia will hold talks in the 2+2 format in Moscow at the level of foreign and defense ministers.

"The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Minister of the Armies will leave for Moscow in a few days to resume the 2+2 dialogue, to continue the dialogue initiated with President Putin and to promote this joint architecture," French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As the President of France emphasized, one of the main talking points during this visit will be the use of France’s ability to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

Macron also added that France sought to build a true European strategy and the architecture for security and trust in Europe.
