Klitschko to run for Kyiv mayor again

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said he does not rule out that he will again run for Kyiv mayor if the elections in the Ukrainian capital are held.

"Several billion hryvnias are needed to hold early local [elections] all over the country. The Cabinet of Ministers did not include such articles in this year's budget, and something will unlikely change here as the economic situation is difficult. [...] In this regard, I don't rule out that the situation will gradually develop, and the first will be the battle for Kyiv," Klitschko said in an interview with the Levy Bereg news portal.

He did not exclude that in this case, he would run for Kyiv mayor again.

"Yes, I will run for mayor again. I think that residents of Kyiv won't understand me if I don't do this. Giving up is not my principle," Klitschko said.
