Ukraine doing all to achieve peace in Donbas by diplomatic means - Zelensky

Ukraine and its international partners are continuing to do their best to achieve peace in Donbas by diplomatic means, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.

"Ukraine and its international partners are continuing to do everything possible and impossible to achieve peace in Donbas by diplomatic means. I think that after recent events in the east of Ukraine, no one has any doubts as to who really wants peace and is doing everything to make it happen," Zelensky said at a joint briefing with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Wednesday, August 7.

At the request of the Ukrainian president, those present commemorated Ukrainian soldiers who were killed near Pavlopil in Donetsk region on August 6.

"It's very important that everyone in the world understands that the whole world, including Turkey and every country, remembers our fighters. It's very important for their parents and for their children," Zelensky said.
