Polish minister calls conditions for lifting sanctions against Russia

Russia must comply with international law and cease aggressive actions against other countries. Therefore, sanctions are the appropriate response to Moscow’s actions.

Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said this in an interview with the Polish Press Agency (PAP).

"It is difficult to talk about rapprochement [of Poland and Russia] because we do not support the policy of Russia. Russia's aggression against Ukraine led to the reaction of the Western world in the form of sanctions. We believe that this is the proper response. Russia must begin to observe international rules, cease aggressive actions against other countries and fully implement the Minsk agreements," the minister said.

At the same time, he noted that "Poland and Russia are neighbors, and they should calmly maintain relationships in the form of a dialogue".
