Tymoshenko not among candidates for Ukraine's prime minister - Arakhamia

There are currently several nominees for the post of Ukraine's prime minister, but Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko and Chairman of Volyn Regional Council Ihor Palytsia are not among them, Secretary of the National Investment Council David Arakhamia, who is running for MP from the Servant of the People party, has said.

"There are three or four candidates for the premier's post. I cannot name them. Tymoshenko is not there, and Palytsia is not there," Arakhamia said at a briefing at the campaign headquarters of the Servant of the People party on Sunday, July 21.

When asked whether the list of candidates for the post of the head of government includes Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Danyliuk, Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolyev or Executive Director of Naftogaz Yuriy Vitrenko, Arakhamia said that there are candidates "like these ones."

He clarified that the prime minister's post, as the president said, should be occupied by a person with economic experience, who has credibility among Western partners and is fluent in English.
