Zelensky removes Transport Safety Service head from office

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated about the removal of Mykhailo Noniak from the post of head of the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Security (Ukrtransbezpeka).

The president announced this at a meeting of the National Anticorruption Policy Council, when speaking about corruption in the road sector, the president’s press service reported.

Zelensky stressed that Ukraine spends UAH 4 billion annually on roads, "but there are no roads" because of the lack of proper management and violations of the established norms and rules.

"There must be a strict and immediate response from our anticorruption bodies," Zelensky stressed.
