Riaboshapka: Number of ministries to be reduced within government reform

The reform of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine after the snap parliamentary elections will include the reduction of the number of ministers.

Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ruslan Riaboshapka stated this at a briefing as part of the forum "Establishing justice - an agenda for the future parliament" on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"The number of ministries will be brought to minimum. But we must consider the fact that there may be coalition talks with partners, and, accordingly, the format of the Cabinet may vary based on coalition agreements," said Riaboshapka.

As reported, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman proposed that the number of ministries should be reduced from the current 19 to 12 so that to optimize the work of the entire government.
