U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry has welcomed talks held between the U.S. administration and Secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Danylyuk in Washington, calling the discussion "productive."

"Productive discussion at the White House with Ambassador [John] Bolton, Ambassador [Gordon] Sondland, Ambassador [Kurt] Volker and Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Chair Oleksandr Danylyuk today about opportunities for increased energy security cooperation with Ukraine under the Zelensky Administration," the U.S. official wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday, July 10.

Danylyuk on Wednesday began his visit to the United States to meet with senior officials from the administration and government of the United States, as well as military leadership.
