Zelensky demonstrated his foreign policy priorities in Toronto - ambassador

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has clearly outlined his foreign policy priorities during his recent visit to Canada, Ukraine's Ambassador to Canada Andriy Shevchenko has said.

"The [Ukraine] Reform Conference cannot be separated from Zelensky's visit. We've got 'two in one,' so the great value of this conference is that it became the first sensible opportunity for the president and the new team to declare their new priorities in the field of technical assistance, attracting foreign investors, etc," Shevchenko said.

In his opinion, Zelensky, in fact, showed in Toronto what his policy would be like over the next five years.

"It can hardly be called an integrated whole picture, but all the correct signals have been sent, both to investors, to our friends from the donor community, and to partners in political support. In short, it was a presentation of the vision of a new team in Kyiv," the ambassador said.

The Ukraine Reform Conference in Toronto lasted from July 2 to July 4. Its main goal was to familiarize international partners with Ukraine's achievements in implementing systemic reforms, as well as outlining further areas of cooperation and practical assistance to the country on this path.
