Distribution of State Fund’s resources among regional centers to yield positive results - Groysman

The distribution of UAH 3 billion from the State Regional Development Fund among regional centers and cities of regional significance will yield positive results, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has stated.

“Another priority issue is the distribution of funds of the State Regional Development Fund among district centers and cities of district significance. It is about UAH 3 billion. This will strengthen the capabilities of regional centers, strengthen their financial viability. And then people in regions will decide on their own how to distribute these funds,” he told the city and town heads at a meeting dedicated to the decentralization reform.

According to Groysman, Ukraine needs to take a number of certain steps to continue the successful decentralization reform. “Our goal is to create efficient communities throughout the country,” he said.

The prime minister also recalled that the government had initiated a broad discussion of changes to the Basic Law.
