Zelensky signs first law

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed the law on granting a vacation to adoptive parents, Zelensky's team has reported on its Facebook page.

"Zelensky has signed the first law as president of Ukraine! The law establishes new rules for granting leave to adoptive parents of orphan children. Earlier, a paid leave was granted in the case of adoption of a newborn child, but now a 56-day paid leave is granted, excluding holidays and non-working days in the case of adoption of a child by one of the spouses," the report reads.

It is noted on the page of law No. 2728-VIII "On the introduction of amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the provision of a vacation to adoptive parents upon adoption of an orphaned child, a child deprived of parental care" on the website of the Verkhovna Rada that the document was returned on June 19 with a signature of the president.
