Parubiy says he will participate in Ukraine's parliamentary elections

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy will take part in Ukraine's snap parliamentary elections.

He stated this at a congress of the European Solidarity party on Friday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Yes, of course, I will take part in these parliamentary elections whenever they take place. I will participate in a team of like-minded people with whom we worked together in parliament and beyond it," he said.

At the same time, he did not specify whether he will run in the elections as a member of the European Solidarity party.

"As was the case in 2014, when we stood at the barricades under the banner of the European Union [...] today we stand under the banners of European solidarity so that everyone knows our objectives and our goal," Parubiy said.

At the same time, the politician expressed confidence that there would be enough deputies in the parliament of a new convocation, "who will defend Ukrainian positions, the positions of the Ukrainian agenda."

He stressed that Euro-Atlantic integration is a key guarantee of Ukraine's security and independence for the team with which he will participate in the elections.

"We will lead Ukraine into the EU and NATO. We will defend Ukrainian values," he added.
