Saakashvili ready to help new Ukrainian authorities

Mikheil Saakashvili, former president of Georgia, former chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration and leader of the "Movement of New Forces", is ready to help and counsel a new team of Ukrainian authorities, but has no career plans.

"I want to help the new team, the new wave that has really appeared in Ukraine. If my advice, my consultation or just presence will be useful to someone, I will do it," Saakashvili told reporters on Wednesday at the Warsaw Chopin Airport before leaving for Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He added that he had no aspirations to "get a certain office or some formal post because it ends badly."

Before leaving for Ukraine, Saakashvili was issued a certificate for return to Ukraine at the Ukrainian consulate in Warsaw.
