Parubiy: Verkhovna Rada this week to consider issue of government’s resignation

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy has said that on Thursday, May 30, MPs will consider the issue of government’s resignation.

He stated this at a meeting of the Agenda-Setting Council on Monday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The set of agrarian policy issues is scheduled for Thursday, but according to the law, we should consider the resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. According to the law, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has ten days [to consider this issue], and we are entering these ten days this plenary week, and therefore I have also instructed the Committee on Legal Policy to consider this issues on Wednesday so that we can consider on Thursday the resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers and Prime Minister of Ukraine," Parubiy said.

The speaker also added that it is planned to consider social issues and the issues of local government on Tuesday.
