Issue of peace agreements with Russia can be put to referendum – presidential administration

The Ukrainian authorities are considering holding a referendum on the issue of concluding peace agreements with the Russian Federation.

Head of Ukraine's Presidential Administration Andriy Bohdan said this live on the 112 Ukraine television channel on Tuesday.

"[Ukrainian President] Volodymyr Zelensky himself declared in his speeches that we are considering formalizing some agreements and putting them to a referendum. Not only politicians but also people should speak. We are considering putting to a nationwide referendum the issue of reaching peace agreements with Russia so that not only the deputies could vote and not only the president could make a decision, but also that the people of Ukraine could make that decision," Bohdan said.

The head of the Presidential Administration noted that various agreements concerning a military conflict with Russia should be assessed by society.
