Zelensky meets with Chinese ambassador to Ukraine

Ukrainian President-elect Volodymyr Zelensky has met with China's Ambassador to Ukraine Du Wei to discuss the development of cooperation between the two countries, according to a report posted on the Twitter account of Zelensky's team.

"I had a meeting with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Du Wei. We talked about the development of cooperation and traditionally friendly relations between our countries. Chinese experience and investment is also important to Ukraine," the report said.

Ukraine's Central Election Commission on April 30 announced the official results of the second round of presidential elections in Ukraine. Zelensky gained 73.22% of the vote and was elected the country's new president.

The election results were published in the official government and parliament newspapers on May 3. The 30-day deadline for the inauguration of the newly elected head of state began on that day.
