Poroshenko fails to come to PGO for questioning

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has not come to the department of special investigations of the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) for questioning as a witness in the case on the Maidan shootings.

The head of the department of special investigations, Serhiy Horbatiuk, said this in a comment to Ukrinform.

"The president has not appeared for questioning. We'll summon him again," he said.

The PGO's department of special investigations called in Poroshenko for questioning on May 7. The investigators planned to interrogate the head of state in the cases of February 18 and December 1 "due to additional comments that he made in the last period, which were not made during the first interrogation." In addition, investigators wanted Poroshenko to sign a protocol of his interrogation, which was held in 2016 on the Maidan case.
