President dismisses Ukraine’s ambassador to Moldova

President Petro Poroshenko has dismissed Ivan Hnatyshyn as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova.

The corresponding decree, No.168/2019, has been posted on the president’s official website.

"To dismiss Ivan Hnatyshyn from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova," reads the document.

Ivan Hnatyshyn was Ukraine's ambassador to Moldova from 1996 to 2001. He was again appointed to this post in 2015.

Also, he served as Ukraine’s ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia, deputy foreign minister and held other posts at the Foreign Ministry.
