Vice PM Klympush-Tsintsadze calls on lawmakers to focus on European integration bills

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine should focus on the adoption of the European integration bills despite the internal political changes in the country.

“The Government will insist that the bills pending consideration in the Verkhovna Rada should be supported by the Ukrainian parliamentarians. Thus, we will fulfill obligations to our citizens and continue moving towards rapprochement with the EU,” Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze said at the Cabinet’s meeting, the Government portal reports.

She recalled that the responsibility for the continuation of the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine now rests primarily with the Cabinet of Ministers and the Parliament. Therefore, legislators and ministers should strictly fulfill their obligations.

“Our consistency and predictability are essential. We need to maintain a serious relationship with the EU and the North Atlantic Alliance and continue to work on the priorities related to the European integration,” Klympush-Tsintsadze added.

The Vice Prime Minister urged her colleagues to focus on the implementation of the road map of legislative support for the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement adopted last year. The document contains a list of 57 bills that should be considered by the Parliament within two years.
