President signs decree on European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the Decree "Issues of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration."

"The Head of State approved the action plan for achievement of the strategic goal of the state to gain full-fledged membership of Ukraine in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in order to ensure the irreversibility of the European and Euro-Atlantic path of Ukraine as stipulated in Part 3 of Article 102 of the Constitution of Ukraine," the press service of the Head of State reports.

As noted, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine along with the relevant government bodies should ensure the implementation of the action plan for gaining full-fledged Ukraine’s membership in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, inform the President of Ukraine on a quarterly basis and report on the progress of implementation of the action plan within defined timeframes.

The decree comes into force on the day of its publication.
