G7 foreign ministers to discuss Crimea, Donbas, fate of Ukrainian prisoners in Russia

The foreign ministers of the G7 countries will discuss Crimea, Donbas and the release of Ukrainian seamen and political prisoners at a meeting on April 5-6.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin told this to journalists on Friday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Today and tomorrow the G7 ministers will hold a meeting at which [Canadian Foreign Minister] Chrystia Freeland plans to present her vision for the next [Ukraine] Reform Conference to be held in early July. [...] Of course, other issues will be discussed – Crimea, Donbas, the release of our prisoners of war, political prisoners and our hostages," Klimkin said.

He added that Ukraine would apply for this purpose new legal instruments that will be announced in more detail in a few days.
