Ukrainian sanctions synchronized with EU, US sanctions against Russia — president

Ukraine has extended sanctions against Russia with regard to those involved in the act of aggression against Ukrainian military in the Kerch Strait.

President Petro Poroshenko announced this on Twitter before the start of the Ukraine-EU mini-summit in Brussels on March 20.

"Today, I issued a decree on expanding the package of sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities. All those involved in the act of aggression against Ukraine in the Kerch Strait were included in the package of sanctions. The Ukrainian sanctions were synchronized with sanctions of the EU and the U.S. against the Russian Federation," Poroshenko noted.

The president informed that the June package of sanctions against Russia would be also discussed at the Ukraine-EU mini-summit.
