Bozhok appointed Ukraine's deputy foreign minister

Yehor Bozhok has been appointed deputy minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine, according to a Cabinet of Ministers resolution of March 13 posted on the government's website.

"To appoint Yehor Valeriyovych Bozhok as deputy minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine starting from March 14, 2019," the document reads.

Earlier, President Poroshenko signed a decree dismissing Bozhok as head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

Bozhok is a graduate of the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He is a career diplomat. Since 2002, he occupied various positions within the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

From June 2015, he fulfilled the duties of head of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO.

In September 2017, Poroshenko signed a decree appointing Bozhok as head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
